4-H CLUB: Garden on Marais

I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
My heart to greater loyalty,
My hands to larger service,
and my health to better living,
for my club, my community, my country, and my world.
— Garden on Marais 4-H Kids Club Pledge

The Garden on Marais 4-H Club has been growing since Spring 2015, serving the inner city community of New Orleans. The Club activities center around educational themes of urban gardening, health and nutrition, and creation care.

Creation Care

"The power of God is present at all places, even in the tiniest leaf...God is currently and personally present in the wilderness, in the garden, and in the field." (Martin Luther)  Through our garden we learn about caring for the earth, caring for one another, and caring for ourselves.
